This module works as a storage of all files. The files store all documents of JunoOne (the pictures, .xlsx docs, PDF, etc. except .exe files and other similar files). Here you can find every attachment which is used in the test case, issue etc.
In the main page you can see the folder with files. The folder can be created for specific project or to separate specific files. The basic functions are creating new folder, search and delete (you can can use bulk deletion as well).
If you want to create the new folder in JunoOne click on the button Add folder. The template form will pop up. Here you have to fill mandatory field which is highlighted in the red border – Folder name and optional field – assign to the project. When you assign the folder to specific project it will be available just in that project (or in the module Files).
When you mouseover the folder you’ll see a small image of a pen. When you click on it pop up window will appear. Here you can edit the name of the folder or assign it to a different project. To confirm the changes click on the button0 “save”.
If you want to delete more folders in the same time you have to click on the dropdown box “select a bulk action” and choose delete. When you choose delete the check box for every folder will appear. Tick one or more checkboxes and confirm the action. After that the folder(s) will be irreversibly deleted.
If you click on the one of folders you’ll see its content. Basic functions of the folder are:
- Back – to return to the main page of the module.
- Add files – add new files into the folder.
- Delete – whole folder will be deleted with all files in it.
- Search – find the file by name.
- Group action – perform the action with marked files:
- Download as zip
When you are in the folder page you can add files into folder. Click on the button “add files” to select particular files from your PC. The upload maximum is limited by 2 MG and 2500 lines per file but there is no limit for number of files (therefore you can add as many files under 2 MG and 2500 lines as you need).
Information about file
By clicking on one of the files, the pop up window with its information will appear. Its name, type, file size, relative path or absolute path. In this window you can download or delete the specific file. If you want to see the picture without download it, you can copy the Absolute path and copy it into the browser.
This functionality is used in almost every module. The files are added into this module and copied into the form(s) or part(s) where you need that attachments.
Ex.: When we create the test case and you need to connect particular file with it, we will use file manager. We open the file manager and connect the specific file to the test case.
Open the file manager
The file manager is not accessible from the files module. For the demonstration you can create the TC (for more information about creation of test case click “here”). In the form for creating new TC click on the button file manager.
You’ll see the list of project (which are not assigned to any project or they are assigned to project where you create the TC). Below that you can see the possibility of upload files files from PC.
Upload files from PC
When you want to add files from PC while you create the TC, you can click on the button Upload file from PC. Pop up window will appear. Choose the Folder where you want to add the files and choose the files from your PC.
FYI: When you need to add more files from your PC (and they are in different folder) you have to add the files separately!
Add files from file manager
When you need to add any file which is already in the files manager just simply go to the particular folder and choose it by ticking the checkbox of the file to connect it with TC. When you select all the files by ticking the checkbox confirm your action by clicking on the button “add“.
FYI: You can choose files from more folders in the file manager at once.
