This module acts as a storage for all files. The Files module stores all JunoOne documents (images, word documents, excel, PDF, etc., except for .exe files and other similar files). Here you’ll find every attachment that is used in a test case, issues, etc.
On the main page you can see the file folder. You can create a folder for a specific project or to separate different files. The basic functions are add a new folder, search and delete (you can also use bulk deleting).
Adding a folder
If you want to create a new folder in JunoOne, click the “add folder” button. A pop-up window with the form will appear. Here you have to fill in the required field, which is highlighted with a red box – Folder name and an optional field – assigned to the project. When you assign a folder to a specific project, it will be available only in that project (or in the Files module).
Editing a folder
When you mouseover the folders, you’ll see a small pen image. When you click on it, a window will appear. Here you can edit the folder name or assign it to another project. Click the “save” button to confirm the changes.
Deleting in bulk
To delete multiple folders at once, click the “select a bulk action” drop-down list and select delete. Then a check box appears next to each folder. Check one or more boxes to confirm. The folder (s) will then be irreversibly deleted.
If you click on one of the folders, you’ll see its contents. The basic functions of the folder which are:
Back – to return to the main module page.
Add folders – add new files to the folder.
Delete – the entire folder will be deleted with all files in it.
- Search – find the file by name.
Bulk action – performs action on selected files:
- Download as zip
Adding a file
When you’re on a folder page, you can add files to the folder. Click the “add files” button to select specific files from your computer. The maximum size is limited to 2 MG and 2,500 lines per file, but the number of files is not limited (so you can add as many files up to 2 MG with 2,500 lines as you need).
Clicking on one of the files will display a pop-up window with its information. Name, type, file size, relative path, or absolute path. In this window you can download or delete the file. To view an image without downloading it, you can copy the absolute path to your browser.
This functionality is used in almost every module. Files are added to this module and copied to the form or parts of the system where you want to attach them.
For example: When you create a test case and need to attach a specific file to it, we use File Manager. Open the File Manager and attach the specific file to the test case.
Opening File Manager
The File Manager is not available from the Files module. You can create a TC for demonstration (see “here” for more information on creating a test case). Click the File Manager button in the form for creating a new TC.
A list of projects (which are not assigned to any project or assigned to the project in which you create the TC) is displayed. Below you can see the possibility to upload files from your PC
Uploading files from PC
If you want to add files from your PC when you create a TC, you can click the Upload file from PC button. A pop-up window appears. Select the folder where you want to add the files, and then select the files from your computer. If you need to add multiple files from your computer (and are in a different folder), you must add them separately!
Adding files from File Manager
If you need to add any file that is already stored in the File Manager, simply navigate to the appropriate folder and select it by checking the file check box to associate it with the TC. Then click the “Add” button. If you select all files by checking the box, confirm your action by clicking the “Add” button.
In the file manager, you can select files from multiple folders at once.
