Project settings

Project Settings act as the foundation for your project. Here, you'll configure essential elements before diving into the submodules. Think of it like setting up your toolbox before tackling the project build.

There are a few required settings to get started:

  • Team Assignments: Designate the teams responsible for various aspects of the project.
  • Statuses: Define custom statuses (e.g., "In Progress," "Completed")
  • Priorities: Define custom priority levels (e.g., "High," "Low") for your tasks and issues.
  • Issue types: Create specific categories (e.g., "Bug," "Feature Request") to categorize and track issues within the project.

Optional Project Settings: Fine-Tuning for Efficiency While the core settings establish the groundwork, Project Settings offer further customization options to optimize your project workflow:

  • General settings: Allow admins to refine project details by adding a description, specifying stakeholders, or defining custom templates for the Kanban board layout.
  • Issue links: Connect related issues and tests with custom relationships (e.g., "Blocks," "Duplicates"). This fosters a more connected view of your project.
  • Labels Create custom tags for filtering within issues, tests, and test plans. This helps categorize and organize elements for easier navigation.
  • Integration: Enhance your project ecosystem by integrating with external tools like Jira or GitLab (if available in your app). This streamlines workflows and centralizes project information.

Once you've established these settings, your submodules will be ready to use for effective project management.
