A roadmap is a strategic plan that outlines the steps necessary to achieve a specific goal or milestone.
Roadmap properties
In juno a roadmap serves as a comprehensive plan for completing a group of tasks, test cases, or test plans. It provides a clear path for teams to follow, ensuring that everyone is working towards the same objective.
- Name : Your unique roadmap name identifies the roadmap.
- Start Date : The date when the roadmap officially begins.
- End Date : The planned completion date for the roadmap.
- Status : The current state of the roadmap (e.g., In progress, Completed, Paused). Statuses are optional to use and are turned off by default.
- Kanban Template : The template used to define the Kanban board for the roadmap.
Roadmaps statuses
Roadmap stauses are turned off by default on every new project you create. Users can choose to use statuses or not. If statuses are not used, there are buttons to Start and End the roadmap. If you'd like to use roadmap statuses then go to Project settings and select Statuses
tab.
Scroll down and you'll see section for Roadmap statuses. To use the roadmap statuses turn the switch ON.
At this point system creates a set of basic statuses for you. One per each usage (this is minimum you can have to work with roadmap statuses)
Create status
Click on Create new
button in roadmap section.
Or alternatively click on New status
button at the top of the page.
In new window please fill Name
, select Usage
and aditionally write status Description
Usage of Roadmap statuses are separated in 3 individual categories ( Initial , Active , Final ). Users can transition statuses from Initial
to Active
to Final
, but not in reverse.
For example - for a Roadmap in active state are available only statuses from active or final group. It's not possible to switch already ended roadmap back to "ready to start" status.
Edit status
To edit a status click on Edit
icon in the respective line. Keep in mind that Usage field is unable to edit.
Delete status
To delete a status click on Delete
icon in the respective line.
If the status is unassigned you are able to confirm the action.
In a case the status is currently used on a roadmap you will need to select a new status to reassign these roadmaps first.
